My Motto,

"Beauty Deserves Beauty",

is my way of saying Beauty deserves to be captured and shared at its best.

While Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, wether it be a glamerouse super model whos perfect face denotes youth, health and vitality, or a seasoned old sailer whos weatherd face and gray beard tells many a tall tale, it is all beauty in its own right.

Be it capturing the beauty of a person or place, or creating an image that tells a story, evokes an emotion or inspires another, this is every artists goal.

Profile

Andrew Phillips

Photography Craftsman since 1985

I discovered my 2 passions, Cycling & Photography while in the NAVY. I purchased my first proffesional camera, a Monolta Maxum 7000 in preperation for all the traveling I anticipated, when I got out of boot camp in 1985. As it turned out I stayed in Florida for my 4 year enlistment. At first I let the Camera do all the work. The results were so stunning that I was inspired to learn how the camera works. I started experimenting and truly enjoying the art of Photography. In less than 6 months I upgraded to the Minolta Maxum 9000.

I discovered my passion for cycling in 1987 after I decided to ride 2200 miles back to Las Vegas when I got out of the NAVY in 1989. Something I had wanted to do when I was youngerback in the 70's when bicycle touring was very popular.

I have been working as a Proffesional Photographer in Las Vegas since my return in June of 89. My first Job was selling photography equipment at Union Premiums. At the time it was the biggest electronics store in Las vegas and the largest Photography equipment department. They sold everything you needed from cameras to lab and studio eqipment. In one stop you could get everything you needed to start your own Photography buisness. A few months later I opened The Mirage in 1989 as a photolab technician where I learned color photography and custom printing. I was also a photographer at The Mirage and had the pleasure and privilage of photographing numerouse celebrities at the hotels variouse special events. I was later promoted to In House Photographer and opened Treasure Island in 1993. In the mid 90's I did shot the opening of Club Utopia for a local music and film magazine. Soon after I became thier official staff photographer. I worked there every Saturday night for roughly 2 1/2 years. Those were some great times.

A majority of my work is Glamour, Head Shots and Portfolios for entertainers, models, actors, singers, etc. I have done comercial work for catalogues and numerouse parties, conventions, red carpet events and award ceremonies. I can also layout and custom design Zed cards and Buisness cards with your portriat or a collage of photos depending on your buisness. I have shot complete portfolios in one day. With a few hours at the park and few more in the studio, I can provide a dozen different looks to get a good start on your portfolio. I have a complete studio a large wardrobe and have been working with the Sigma SD10 and Sigma SD14 Digital equipment since 2004.
